Job opportunity - traineeship

Student Challenge, St James Ethics Centre project with Institute of Chartered Accountants

Please refer to the invitation below to students:

Dear everyone

I am delighted to announce a collaboration between St James Ethics Centre and the Institute of Chartered Accountants called the Student Challenge. This is an annual Challenge for first year and second/third/fourth year accountancy students across Australia (two separate Challenges) and St James Ethics Centre is the not-for-profit partner selected by Chartered Accountants in 2012.

The Student Challenge website is now live www.studentchallenge.com.au. The program will be officially launched on March 1 along with Part A of the two questions presented by a pre-recorded video by Simon. Part B of the two questions will be released via another pre-recorded video by Simon on May 1. The program will unfold over the next few months culminating in state finals and the national finals and awards presentation in October.

Stuart has done a great job of presenting the field of ethics (including a snapshot of the work we do with mention of Ethi-call) in the video on the website. He is on the judging panel and will be making the awards presentation keynote speech. In addition to the students, the Student Challenge has also been communicated by Chartered Accountants to accountancy academics and recruiters. Thanks to volunteer Jonathan Russell for working with the Institute of Chartered Accountants to develop the thought provoking Student Challenge questions which will be revealed very soon!

Kind regards,

Do You Have a Tablet Computer? (not an iPad)

The accounting section is trialling some new online features – and we need to test for device compatibility.

If you have a tablet computer (not an iPad) and would be willing donate a few minutes of your time to help test a website, please contact Chris Fergus: chris.fergus@tafensw.edu.au

Thanks.
