BSBITU304A - Produce spreadsheets - Open lab - IMPORTANT NOTICE

As mentioned in the open lab sessions last week, all portfolio tasks should now be submitted via the online submission site for this subject:

You will be able to access this site by clicking here: http://online.wsi.tafensw.edu.au/course/view.php?id=1044

When you “enrol” in the site (ie. Access it for the first time) you will need to use the following enrolment key: 211PSS

After this, you can access the site using your TAFE username and password.

It is suggested that you save the site to your “favourites”.

Studying units (subjects) at other locations

OTEN is now offering units for the FNS10 training package (ie courses 11328, 11338, 11362, 11379). Units for the FNS04 training package (Courses 19191, 19192, 19193, 19194) are no longer available via OTEN.

Blacktown college has some FNS04 units available this semester. Blacktown college will cease offering these FNS04 units after Semester 2, 2011

Boost your CV by entering the 2011 IPA Project

Participating in the Institute of Public Accountants ‘The IPA Project’ will give you the opportunity to apply what you've learnt at TAFE to a real-life business problem and help make a difference to a global economic issue whilst boosting your CV.

As an Institute of Public Accountants student member you can participate in the IPA project, not only will you have the chance to win $5,000 for yourself and $5,000 for your education provider, you will also solve a real-world business challenge.

Entering the IPA project, a competition designed for TAFE accounting students will give you a taste of the varied and interesting issues you will be likely to encounter as a Public Accountant in the business world.

Please refer to the following for further information:

Access to TAFE e-mail and DEC student portal

Following the upgrade to the DEC student portal, a number of students have been having difficulty accessing the site and their TAFE e-mail account.

If you have had difficulties accessing your DEC student portal either at home or in the College environment, you should do one of the following:
  • Attend an open lab session on Thursdays for assistance from a teacher. If teaching staff are unable to access your student account you will need to see customer service staff;
  • Refer to campus library staff (at Baulkham Hills); or
  • Refer to customer service staff at either location (Castle Hill or Baulkham Hills).
This has been identified as a system issue, accordingly the quickest way to resolve the issue is to follow the above process.

Update on online subjects

If you have nominated to study any subjects which are offered online this semester, you should have by now received a message to your TAFE e-mail account about these subjects.

Please check your e-mail account for any messages to access your learning resources.

If you have not received a message please e-mail from your TAFE e-mail account: your name, student number and the subject to cxaccountingfinance@tafensw.edu.au
