Job Seeking sessions - Baulkham Hills TAFE

From our Careers / Counsellors Section

Good afternoon

Many of our students are in the process of updating their resumes, preparing for interviews etc.  Just a reminder that WSI has a fantastic website to guide students with this:  http://careers.wsi.tafensw.edu.au/ (click on career tools for guidance with job seeking skills such as resume writing etc.).

FYI and the information of our students, I will also be hosting a couple of Job Seeking Q&A sessions for our students in the non-teaching week: one at Castle Hill Campus in Room A1.04 on Tuesday 21 June from 9.30am until 11am and one at Baulkham Hills Campus in the Library on Wednesday 22nd June from 12.30pm until 2.30pm.  The Q&A sessions will be like a drop in service during which students are welcome to come along any time within the time-block and get help with resume writing, cover letters, interview skills etc.  Information is attached.

Of course students can still arrange an appointment to see me individually in the Counselling unit if they prefer.

Cert III students - Baulkham Hills

This is a friendly reminder for Cert-III Accounts Admin students both day and night. We have noticed that for several units there is no work being submitted, and in some classes no students turned up at all.

If you do not take all of the units then you cannot complete your course this semester. You will be able to take the units you miss next semester, but this will delay your studies.

So…

If you have not already done so could you please access the latest timetable (which has been released for several weeks now) and make sure you are taking all of your classes? See the earlier WIKI announcements for the timetable link.

Night Students – this week (week 12) your Monday night and Wednesday night classes start (BSBFIA302, FNSACM302/2).

Day Students – your Monday group for FNSACM302/3 starts very soon.

Night + Day Students – please see your Tuesday day, or Tuesday night lab teacher(s) – make sure you are taking all of the units you need and that you are submitting.

Thanks.
