AAT Presentation

In March 2010 new laws came into effect regulating our industry. If you’re charging for your work (or intend to) and this involves setting up charts of accounts (eg in MYOB) or data entry of invoices/payments, you’re included in these new rules.

To put it simply; if you do not meet the registration requirements, you will not be able to charge for your work. Briefly; there are educational, experience, membership and insurance requirements.  And yes, even if you do not do BAS work, or ‘the accountant’ does the BAS, you are still caught by these rules.

If you’d like to know more, and also have any questions you may have answered, Robert Comelli from the AAT will be visiting our campus on Thursday 7th April at 2pm for a presentation followed by a question/answer session. This will start at 2pm, in FG.33 (auditorium).

FNSACC303A Financial Calculations - Night Students

FNSACC303A – Perform Financial Calculations

If you are a night student for maths (financial calculations) on a Tuesday night please note:

Due to large student enrolments we are splitting the class into two groups:
·        The first group will run from weeks 7-12, room F1.11, Tuesday 6pm-9pm. Week 7 = March 23rd.
·        The second group from weeks 13-18., Tuesday 6pm-9pm in F1.11. Week 13 = May 17th.

To join either group you need to contact your teacher Graham Maxwell and tell him which group you would prefer;
·        Graham’s email: graham.maxwell2@tafensw.edu.au
·        Or you can visit room F1.11 on Tuesday night from 6pm-8pm in week 6 (March 15th) and see Graham personally and get yourself in a class group.

Challenge Assessments
If you feel you should receive recognition for maths and would like a challenge assessment – please attend in Week 6 (March 15th) at 6pm in F1.11 to meet Graham and sit a challenge assessment. Don’t forget your calculator!
